Answer these questions in Word. Use complete sentences and full paragraphs. When you are done print out your responses and hand them in.

1. What makes good web design? Remember, I am not talking about content. Just how easy the site is to use and navigate.

2. Find two websites that have good, appealing design. Don't worry about the content and information on the website. Just think about how easy it is to use the site. For each website list the following:
-the URL of the website.
-describe why you think the website has good design. Consider how easy it is to find information on the site (navigation), how well the colors work together and how well images and/or flash are used.
-what elements stand out as good design to you?
-how and why is the design appropriate to the content of the site?

2. Now find two websites with poor quality design. For each website list the following:
-the URL of the website.
-what parts of the website do you find annoying as a viewer? Consider how hard it is to find information on the site (navigation), how well the colors work together and how well images and/or flash are used.
-describe how you would improve the website. Removing it from the Internet does not count as an improvement.
-how or why is the design appropriate to the content?
