Citing a website used for research is just as important as citing a book in a bibliography. Websites constantly change so there are some pieces of information that must be included in your citation. This is the format that you should follow when citing an online source: Author's last name, First name Middle Initial. The Title of the Article or Page (in italics) Full Title of the organization that created the site. Date that the document was created month, day, year http://thewholeurl.com/everything (put the date viewed here) Hints: Example: If you looked at this page on Septmber 1, 2006 you would create the following citation: Milstead, Rod. Citing Web Sources. Drake/ROP Tech Support. September 2006. http://rodmilstead.com/techsupport/research/citingwebsites.htm (September 1, 2006) For more information on citing sources please visit the Drake English Department Handbook (Acrobat pdf) and see page 4.
