Photoshop thrills

Adobe Photoshop is an incredibly versatile piece of software. It allows you to create your own art, make buttons for websites, manipulate photos and much more.

This webpage will lead you through the Filter feature in Photoshop. Try any of the variety of Filter options. Read on to learn more.

1. Right click on the photo of the dog and save it to your I: drive.

2. Open Adobe Photoshop. Ask Mr. Milstead if you are having trouble locating Photoshop.

3. Once you have opened Photoshop, click on File and Open and open the dog file that you just saved. You may have to find your I drive to find the photo.

4. Look at the top menu bar. Click on Filter and choose one of the effects available.. Enjoy the effect. There are sample results below.

5. To undo the effect, hold down the Control key (CTRL) key on the keyboard and the letter Z at the same time. This is the same as UNDO and works in any program. You can also go to Edit and choose Undo.

6. Try another effect. Try combinations of two. Go wild. It's not like you can break anything.

7. Go get your own picture and try the same effects. Make sure that you get a JPEG file- other formats don't work as well.

8. Tired of Filters? Look at the menu on the left side and try an icon. The airbrush is my personal choice.
