Your mission is to plan a trip to any location on the planet. Each person will create a well designed website providing information about their selected destination. To create the original content for your website you will have to use your web research skills. The resources on the left will give you a head start.

The completed website is due at the end of your final exam session. This project is worth 15% of your final grade.

Here are your travel guidelines:

-you must leave the 415 area code.
-you will be gone for at least 7 days and 6 nights.
-you have an unlimited budget.
-you may fly, take the train, drive, bike, take a boat, walk, unicycle or any combination of transportation methods.

Website requirements: Create a folder on your I drive labeled travel and use this folder to organize all of your website files. Create a subfolder called images to hold all of your graphics files.

DO NOT COPY AND PASTE text unless your cite the resource properly.

Each page should have links to all other pages.

Each page should have a title.

You will create the following pages for your website:

home page
This page should include links to the other portions of your travel website.
save as index

facts
-include at least one map of your destination or route. The map should show where your destination is located on the planet. Other maps that show more detail are welcome.
-include a link to an official tourist site about your destination.
Answer at least two of these questions on your facts page.
-what is the population of your destination?
-what language(s) are spoken?
-what religions are practiced?
-what type of currency do they use in your destination (a picture would be good)?
-what will the weather be like when you visit?
-how far is it from your home to your destination?
-what's on the menu (what is the cuisine of your destination)?
-what are the major holidays?

-create a page that has at least three school appropriate images of your destination.

-find the location of the nearest US Embassy that is close to your destination. Provide the address of the Embassy.
-if you are going to a country where english is not the dominant language provide translations of the following phrases:
>Hello/Goodbye.
>How are you?
>Thank you.
> I am hungry.
>How do I find____________?
>How much?
>Where is the bathroom?

-include links to three websites that provide more information about your chosen destination. These resources might include websites about your destination's tourism, the government, or a website created by someone else who has visited your destination.

Summary:
