PowerPoint Assignment 2

For this assignment, you will create a slide presentation about a person.  The subject can be you, a friend, family member, historical figure or celebrity.  For resources click here .
The choice is YOURS.

You will create a menu of links using the PowerPoint hyperlink feature. Your presentation can be viewed like a web page where each page can be viewed by clicking on a link. Each slide must have links to the other slides in your presentation.

At least one slide should have a link to a website. This could be a link to a website about your subject or a link to their favorite website.
New skills:

-linking to a website from your PowerPoint.

1. Plan your presentation. Save your presentation as yournamebio.ppt (milsteadbio.ppt).
2. You presentation should consist of at least four slides.  This does not include the print-screen slide. You should include at least three of the following:

  • photo gallery.
  • slide with a map of your subject's birthplace or current hometown.
  • list of accomplishments.
  • biography
  • family tree slide.
  • timeline.
  • story or anecdote.
    3. Do not copy and paste whole paragraphs.

    4. Each slide must contain at least one of each of the following:
    - A menu of links that connect to the other slides in your PowerPoint.
    - An image (from a file or clip art).  To learn how to copy a file from the Internet, click here .
    - Text relevant to the slide topic.
    - ONE SLIDE must contain a working link to a website.
    5.  Use a Slide Transition and Custom Animation on every slide..
    6.  Make sure that you save all work. Save your assignment as yourusernamebio.ppt.

    How to hand in your completed PowerPoint

    Once you have completed your assignment you will follow these directions to move your final version over to the M drive. DO NOT save your work in progress to this drive as you may lose your work. Make sure that you have named your assignment as yourusernamebio.ppt.

    1. Right click on the Start button and choose Explore.

    2. Click on your I drive.

    3. Locate the file that you wish to move to the M drive (the assignment that you just finished).

    4. Right click on the file and choose COPY.

    5. Go the M drive and click on the _Student folder. Then click on the Milstead folder and click on the appropriate folder for your class period.

    6. Right click on the folder and paste the file.
