Your mission is to plan a trip to anywhere in the world. Each person will create and turn in their own trip plan in Microsoft PowerPoint and a trip budget in Microsoft Excel. The plan is due at the end of the class period.

Here is your checklist:

-you must leave North America. This includes the U.S. and Canada.
-you will be gone for 7 days and 6 nights. No longer.
-you have $1500 to spend. No more.
-you must fly or take a boat to your destination.

Part 1: Include the following information in your Excel spreadsheet:

1) Cost of transportation by type of travel (train, plane, bus, car, bike, boat)
2) Total cost of transportation.
3) Cost of your lodging per night (hotel, hostel, campground, etc).
4) Total cost of your lodging. Use a formula to calculate this total cost.
5) Total cost of your trip. Use a formula to achieve this total.

You may use any fonts, font sizes, etc that you like for the spreadsheet. Print out two versions of your spreadsheet:

1) Print out your spreadsheet showing all figures.
2) Print our your spreadsheet showing formulas with gridlines.

Part 2: Create an itinerary of your trip in PowerPoint. An itinerary is an outline of a trip that describes what you will do each day.

Include the following in your PowerPoint:

-the name of your destination and why you are traveling to this place.
-the departure and arrival times for your travel.
-where will you stay? The name and website of the hotel, campground, etc.
-what will you do while you are there? Give at least two attractions/places to visit and their websites. Include photos of these places.
-distance from San Francisco to your destination.
-include a map of your destination.
-include photographs of your destination.
-a picture of type of money used in your destination.
