Class survey In this assignment you will work with a partner and survey students on a chosen topic. Once you have collected your survey data you will record the information in Excel and create charts as needed to present your data. Lastly, you and your partner will share your data with the class and provide an analysis of your survey results. Read below for details: 50 points. 1. Choose a partner. 2. Choose one of Mr. Milstead's carefully crafted surveys- available in class. 3. Create a form
in Excel that you will print out and use to record your survey results by
hand. You might want to include columns for: Print it out. You will turn in this completed form with the rest of your assignment. 4. Survey forty people including everyone in the class. You may survey people on break, at lunch, after school, at home, etc.. 5. Create a form that you will
use to record your results in Excel. Use the sample below as a model.

into Excel ("Subject-male-likes dogs"). 6. Look at the handout with your survey question so you know what graphs to create. Be creative with your graphs - choose images, colors and backgrounds that are suitable for your survey question. 7. In Microsoft Word, you and
your partner should write about the following: 8. Turn these items in for a
complete assignment. Package them in the following order: SAVE YOUR ASSIGNMENT: When you are done with the assignment please rename your survey like this: yourlastnameyourpartnerslastnamesurvey.xls. Example: milsteadtupacsurvey.xls. Then copy it to the milstead folder on the M drive into YOUR class period. 9. BONUS POINTS: Search online for one (or more) surveys with results that match (or are similar to) the question you asked. Provide the URL and brief description of the survey that you found (DO NOT COPY AND PASTE). In paragraph form discuss how your survey results compared with the survey that you found online. Why do you think that there were any differences? |
