Group PowerPoints

Complete a PowerPoint on the assigned topic. Each group will present their PowerPoint to the class. The class will be tested on the information presented in each PowerPoint.

Each group's PowerPoint should make use of visual and text to support their conclusions and assertions. Make use of your textbook (available) and the vast resources of Internet in creating your PowerPoint.

Requirements:
-each slide should have text and images
-each PowerPoint should include a bibliography slide
-you must use at least four sources - only one source can be a Wikipedia entry

Groups and assigned topics:

Group 1
 Battlefield Reporting- choose a critical Revolutionary War battle and create a PowerPoint that gives a report JUST after the battle has concluded. Be sure to include:

* The setting and location of the battle
* How long did the event last?
* The battle's importance
* Who won and lost AND why

Group 2
 Live Free or Die - Create a PowerPoint that is designed to convince viewers that colonial independence is critical and worth fighting for. Appeal to their need for economic and personal freedom and remind them of the danger of long-distance rule. There is room for wit and humor in this presentation (think infomercial). The presentation would be given just after the signing of the Declaration of Independence.
Group 3
 Loyalty to the Crown - Create a PowerPoint that is designed to convince viewers of the value and necessity of remaining a British colony. Appeal to people's need for security, both economic and personal, as well as explain what England will do for them. There is room for wit and humor in this presentation (think infomercial). The presentation would be given just after the signing of the Declaration of Independence.
